Geocache Description:

Churn Clough.

This is one of a series of caches that I placed on a circular walk around Spence Moor and Goldshaw Booth.
There is no particular order in the series and they can be linked to nearby caches.
My advice is to start at this cache and complete in an anticlockwise direction as the views on the return across Pendle and towards the coast are splendid. When starting here there is ample parking on the Nick O’Pendle Road.

This cache is placed at Churn Clough Reservoir and is situated near the footpath that follows the reservoir.
The Reservoir itself was completed in 1892 and supplies towns in Lancashire.
The Reservoir is well used by numerous sporting activities
The local fishing club use it but only for ‘fly’ fishing.
There are several walking and running clubs pass by.
Currently the local birdwatchers ‘twitch’ passing birds, there are currently a pair or Cormorants nesting.
Local Geocachers can also be seen.

Next in the series is Stainscomb.

The cache is a small loctop box.
Good luck.
