Nobody seems to know why it's called Dead Lane but it has been known as that for many, many years. Although there are a few 'Dead Lanes' in mining areas and it simply means dissused.
The cache is situated in a green-lane continuing on from 4X4XFOOT No. 5 (Wheal Busy Chapel) turning left at Boscawan farm and continuing back to the road near Duckworths scrapyard.
A fairly easy drive for ALL vehicles (we test this theory in a Ford Focus!!)
