Geocache Description:

This should be an easy park and grab. Pull-off area is nearby. This is a log-only cache, so BYOP. This is my first-ever hide, so please provide feedback that I can apply to future hides.


After our daughter was born and we began investigating schools, we discovered we were in the McKinney School district (vs. Lovejoy, which has a brand new elementary school not too far from this location). Turns out that the school district lines were drawn along creeks because the creeks often flooded and prevented school bus access. Therefore, you are in the school district that is on your side of the creek! When we moved to this area in the mid-90's, the creek would often overflow during the spring rains. Then the draught hit and there were several years without flooding. However, in March 2008 it flooded again.
