The cache is not at the posted coordinates but is less than 1 mile away
About a week ago, I was at the nearby shopping center. I had a geocache related encounter that was nothing like xmts’s Alien Encounter that occurred almost 5 kilometers from here. My day started out like any other weekend. My clock CD/radio alarm went off at 9AM to the sound of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5. After a brief 2 minute shower, I got dressed, retrieved the 7 pieces of slightly damp Saturday paper from the flowerbed, and started reading it while I had some coffee for breakfast. While flipping through the newspaper, I came across a 2 page ad for an electronic chain store that was having a blowout one-day only sale. Since I can’t resist an electronics sale, I gulped down the remaining 4th cup of coffee, jumped into my car and drove hurriedly towards the store. After I exited the highway, I looked at my watch, and saw that there was still 1 hour before the sale would start. As I pulled up to the store, I observed that 42 cars were already there and a queue had begun to form at the door. I parked my car 39 feet way and walked quickly towards the store. When I was only 4 feet from my car, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. I encountered a cache that was in plain sight but its camouflage made it virtually invisible. While keeping a watchful eye, I casually approached the cache, made a stealthy grab, and walked towards the end of the line while signing the log. I thought to myself, forget the sale, I would rather go hide a geocache. So, I grabbed a micro container, a log sheet, and my GPSr from the car and walked a short distance until I found a place to hide my first puzzle cache…
