Geocache Description:

Sabine Co, TX cemetery with a great view of the surrounding countryside. The entrance into the cemetery is also something a little bit different. There is a gate to open, it's easy, but be sure to close it going in and coming out so that the cows will not get out.

The earliest known burial is that of Anne Kyle who died in 1842. This was 5 years after the formation of Sabine Co.
Seventeen years later, George Washington McGown (1799-1859), a Sabine Co. justice of the peace during the Republic of Texas era, became the second person, and the first of his family to be interred here. Civil War veterans buried here include McGown's son Andrew Henderson McGown (1824-1904), who also served four terms as Sabine Co. sheriff.

The cache is a camoed pill bottle with a log only. BYOP
