(Letterbox Cache)
I have known about this location for a long time. Like other older
properties in this area located on the hilltops, the property
owners "well" their own water. This structure appears to be what is
left of one. You'll know you're at the right area when you get here
by what you see.
Speaking of that, since this is a LETTERBOX cache hide, you won't
get the "coordinates" to the final. You don't have to solve a
puzzle, nor do you have to look up something on the Internet. You
have what you need HERE at this site to locate the cache in the
form of a CLUE. You should probably closely examine the structure
to get what you want. When you identify what you need, you will
apply the first to the bearing and the last to the distance. You're
looking for a very camo'd Jiff Jar with a $5 Lincoln for the
FTF!!!. Lots of SWAG inside this one.
Getting here won't be too bad, there's a set back gate and turnout
farther south of here on McAllister by "Bike2K" where lots of
people park and walk their dogs. There's not much parking at the
closer locked pipe gate at the dirt road that runs along the east
boundary of the new home development. That's your direct route
unless you're already inside, then dirt roads abound and you're
already there.
If you Hike, bring water, and be ready for some inclines with good
hiking shoes. Mountain Bikes recommended, Motorcycles frequent the
area, so do Quads. Some of the entry points have been cabled to
keep out the 4x4, but some still sneak in.
There are some other caches in the area to pick up if you are new
to this site.
