Geocache Description:


Were you planning on travelling eastbound on Route 2? Perhaps you were planning to go nowhere?

Do not access cache from Route 2. There is a great spot for parking and easy access on Camp Moween Road. Park at coordinates: N41 33.960 W072 13.889.

This geocache is established to honor Governors Island, NY. As a former Coast Guard installation, I left a Coast Guard geocoin as a reward for the FTF. This Coast Guard geocoin is a tribute to those who lived on Governors Island as a Coast Guard brat. The primary mission is to travel to Governors Island (New York, NY) and return to Southeastern Connecticut gathering photos along the journey (especially related to the Coast Guard). Semper Paratus!
