In the American River Parkway property at the Gristmill
Recreational Park access. Park on residential street nearby and
walk to the cache.
Camo container blends in with surroundings. Please sign the logbook
and trade for items in the cache, if you like. Please maintain or
improve the conceal after you have visited the cache, so muggles
aren't tempted to plunder or remove it.
Container is small and has a few small treasures and a logbook, but
is too small for a pen. So bring your own writing stick. And Please
Remember a basic rule of caching courtesy - If you make a
"withdrawal," also make a "deposit," of equal or greater
value!
This park entrance is a favorite for those who pay at the honor
station located further on and fish for salmon and steelhead. There
are hiking trails that radiate in several directions as well. Dirt
lot parking below, near the American River, requires honor system
payment of a day use fee, but the cache is outside of the day use
area.
There are nearly always muggles who live nearby, so practice
stealth when seeking, finding, opening & closing, and
repositioning the cache. Please leave it as you find it.
