”Et tempel for regn” ble Regnhytten kalt da den ble døpt i regnvann en regnværsdag i oktober 2000. Skulpturen står på østsiden av Store Lungegårdsvann og er designet av den nederlandske kunstneren Martin Borchert. Den syv meter høye Regnhytten er en hyllest til naturens elementer generelt og bergensregnet spesielt. Inne i den kuppelformete hytten finnes en renne i spiralform fra tak til gulv. Rennen samler opp regnvann og lar det sirkulere fra øverst til nederst, til det til slutt sildrer ut i Store Lungegårdsvann. Legg gjerne besøket til en regnværsdag!

Eng: ”A temple for rain” The Rain Hut was called when it was baptised in rain water on a rainy day in October 2000. The Sculpture is located on the east side of Store Lungegårdsvann and is designed by the Dutch artist Martin Borchert. The seven meter tall Rain hut is a tribute to the nature elements in general and the Bergen rain in special. Inside the dome-formed hut, there is a spiral formed gutter from the ceiling to the floor. The gutter collects rain water and let it circulate from top to bottom, until it finally dribbles into the lake. You should make the visit on a rainy day!
