Geocache Description:

You will find this cache a short walk from the car park. Track is a well maintained grass path that takes you all over the wetlands area. No real effort required to find this one.

Tyto Wetlands originated as a vision of John Young and is proudly supported by Hinchinbrook Shire Council and the community.Tyto Wetlands is the home of the Eastern Grass Owl
-Tyto Capensis- which is where this special wetland acquired its name-"TYTO" The welands is home to more than 200 species of birds, plus numerous butterflies, mammals and reptiles. The list is growing and most can be seen from the many walking tracks and viewing platforms.
