1956 års Olympiska spel hölls i Stockholm. Fälttävlan avgjordes ute på Järvafältet. http://www.sok.se/olympiskhistoria/ryttarspelen1956.4.60107d9a10b66b1ec5080001597.html Ett fåtal av hindren kan fortfarande skönjas i terrängen och på denna plats kunde man tydligt se resterna av fälttävlanshinder när jag flyttade till Sollentuna 1985. Nu har naturen haft sin gång och jag har rekonstruerat banan med hjälp av banskissen från 1956. På denna plats låg ett dubbelhinder, hinder nr 8 och hinder nr 9.
The Olympic Games 1956 took place in Stockholm, Sweden. The
endurance test of the Three-Day Event (cross-country riding) took
place on Järvafältet. From the maps showing the course from 1956
I’ve placed a few caches where there used to be obstacles. Most of
them are not to be seen any more but I recommend a visit to N 59
28.218, E 017 51.884 where you can study the remains of obstacle #
5 from the games of 1956.
