Geocache Description:

Road to and from the cache is paved but is steep at times. One way to motor traffic only. Cache is located off the pavement and up a small hill that is rocky but with good footholds. This is the 3rd replacement cache so I have moved it higher hoping it goes unnoticed by muggles.

Cache container is a medium size tin container covered in ammo tape. New Cache contents...Log, pen, PEZ, Kauai View Finder, Peace Charm, Luck Charm, Cinnamon Toothpicks....
This is a great walk from the City of Avalon. You can start this route many ways but I usually start at the steep stairway behind the public showers. You will find the cache at the top of this one way, (To motor traffic only.), road before it decends back to the city. You will need a permit if you want to go thru the gate at the top of the hill. Views are beautiful along the walk. You can also take a rental golf cart on this route.
Almost finished is the first Zip Line on Catalina Island. It will open April 2010 and looks to be pretty exciting with 6 stages going down from the cache to Descanso Beach. Will mean more muggles to be aware of.
