The best accuracy we could get was a 20 foot radius, so
please
read carefully.
As you pull up to the cache location, you will notice a
small
log cabin on the southern side of the road that is about 100
years
old.
The cache (about the side of a small vitamin bottle) is
hidden
at the corner of the fence just downhill from the outhouse in
plain
sight. Very Winter Friendly!!!!
The cabin is located on property that the original owners used as
a
little ski area. They even had an old engine hooked up to a
tow-rope system, and locals could ski or toboggan down the
hill,
then ride back up on the tow rope. The property owners did
not
charge a fee, as far as anyone knows....
Legends reveal that a man hurt himself skiing one day, and
threatened to sue the owners of the little ski hill. Rather
than
face further ingratitude for offering free skiing, they closed
the
area to the public.
If you look uphill, you might catch a glimpse of the old
ski
run!
There is room for small goodies to trade, and a WestJeff Colt
Pathtag to start!
