Located two miles west of Utica near Mill Creek, the cemetery was set aside for burial purposes in 1800. The road leading to the cemetery from Utica is one of the most picturesque in the county.
In the early 1800s, the Millcreek - Utica Presbyterian Church was on these grounds. The Rev. Robert Glenn was the first pastor, being ordained in 1832 and serving until his death in 1857. Rev. Glenn, his three wives and some of his children are buried on the western ridge near where the old church stood.
