It is on Albany Hway 1.8km south of Jarrahdale road.
The CALM map shows this as 'stopping place'.
Addenum
These ruins are 36 Mile Police station.
Est 1863, Closed 28/2/1889, reopened 10/7/1890, Closed 13/2/1896
Constable Pridmore had been farming on the side and retired the force and continued farming.
He died about 1905 and the station was destroyed in a bushfire about 1910.
Constables at the station arrested a murderer in 1889 and arrest sheets show a range of crimes but the main duty seems to be Albany mail escort between here, the city and Bannister.
Changing horses was part of this duty.

Thanks to Macjeffrey et al for the info.
Now who is June Robinson ?
The West Burning Questions [8/7/13]poses the Q,
What are these ruins ?
The suggestion that was the Traveller's arms seems debunked.
The suggestion it was the Robertson home til 1946 is supported by the brass plaques at the site.
Possibilities !!!
# 1 Don Pashley misidentified the ruins !
The photo in his book is clearly of these ruins.
# 2 June Robertson's decendants misidentified the ruins !
The plaques were placed at least 46 years after the house was abandoned.
# 3 Did the Robertsons build the house on old foundations ?
I have changed the name of the cache to reflect uncertainty.
PS Could GC2FAPM or GC3DJ2X be either of these ?
Muggled & replaced April 2012
Congrats FTF WanderinAus
& Mr Docker FTF on replacement box
