So it appears I have to revise my original details, cachers being cachers you all seem to have found a shorter route to the cache. It takes 30mins or so if you use the short route. Now read on...
Not a Cache and Dash.A walk is the order of the day for this one. If you make a circular route it can take between 2 and 4 hours. If you go straight to it and back to your car then its about 1 - 2 hours
I am assuming that you will stroll and enjoy the area.
This is the latest installment in the W set of Caches. These are caches that have been set by Newbiggin Hall Scouts that they are proud to have set. They present a challenge in the location they are set in and that they can only be reached on foot. No leaping out of your car to grab these.
The name of the cache relates to a very tricky bridge that Scout Leaders found too hard to cross with out getting wet. The bridge is not on the trail, it just relates to something that happened that day that we wanted to remember.
The Trail follows a small stream and passes some big houses if you are lucky enough you will spot Heron, Duck, Fox and lots and lots of other stuff.
The Cache itself is in a Large Action Man Ammo Box hidden in the plantation, any cacher worth his salt should spot it easily enough (no Micros in this series).
The Cache contains a few Scout relating items Woggle, Badges etc. and a log book of course.
