Geocache Description:

The White Witch of Niles Canyon is located in the hills above Niles Canyon Road near Sunol.

A local who wonders the hills explained that most of what one hears is rubbish. She was there before the cars and roads. She was there before the Mission and the Ohlone. The Spanish called her "bruja blanca". She is primeval.

He reluctantly pointed out one of her places. His advice: "Don't go. But if you do, don't go at night, don't bring children, don't go alone, don't step into her circle."

Located in what is now Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park (EBRPD). At the south end near the Thermalito Trail. About a quarter mile east and over the ridge from a barn like structure. Cow trails/footpaths get you close.

The main park entrance is on Foothill Road between Sunol and Pleasanton off of 680. Closer approach is the gate at the very south end of park in Sunol, parking downtown and walking up narrow Thermal Road between Kilkare and Bond. Rating is based upon this approach.
