Geocache Description:

Mitzpeh Matzua is a look out point in the lower Judean Mountains that overlooks the low lands.

Besides a great view and nice area for picnics there are several trails that begin from here.

The cache is along the red trail that goes to the Midras ruins ck out recently replaced GCVH7D ) If you have two cars you can leave one at the ruins.

Another trail takes you to the Luzit Caves. You can look for the cache there too. Again - best to have another car waiting for you there if you take this blue trail.

Now in March all the wild flowers are in full bloom. Especially look out for the "Achnai" in Hebrew where you can see both blue and pink flowers. The flower turns blue/purple after it has been pollinated.

Sorry - the cache is in a 35 mm film container with a few small prizes. Please bring a pen or pencil to sign in. Note: There is a larger size cache in Luzat Caves.
