Geocache Description:

This cache is located just off the Ice Age National Scenic Trail near New Fane. You are searching for a camo covered peanut butter jar. It is available in winter and is winter friendly.

Parking is located at N43 33.010 W088 10.841. This area has big enough parking for 1 or 2 cars. There is ample parking available at the New Fane Trail head at N43 32.617 W88 10.524 where a State Park sticker is required.

During the Ice Age, about 15,000 years ago, a huge glacier covered much of North America. Mammoths, saber tooth cats and cave lions roamed the earth. Wisconsin’s many lakes, river valleys, ridges and rolling hills are all evidence of this massive glacier. The Ice Age Trail, nearly 1200 miles long, was established in 1980 and traces the glacier’s edge. It is one of eight National Scenic Trails instituted in the United States and one of only two contained entirely within a single state, the other being located in Florida.

There is another cache located in this park - GCH5WJ
