Lydia, oh Lydia, say have you seen Lydia? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

grateful cacher: Unfortuanately, time and Mother Nature have taken the toll on Lydia's abode, and there is no place to hide a cache from her anymore. So, drizzle, drazzle, druzzle, drone, time for this one to come home.

Geocache Description:

The Columbian Cemetery was founded in the 1850s as the burial place for the family of Captain Lewis Love, the pioneer and lumber industrialist who drove the first steamship down the Columbia Slough. Columbian residents include Oregon pioneer families, North Portland notables, and veterans of every war since 1850.

The cemetery is said to be haunted by a ghost named Lydia, who wanders the grounds at night. I didn't see her when I placed this cache, but you might not be so lucky. (Click here to watch Groucho Marx sing about Lydia.)

For photos and more information, please visit the Historic Columbian Cemetery website.

You are looking for a film canister. Log-only, please bring your own writing instrument. After you have signed the log, please replace the container where you found it and cover it with natural camo to hide it from muggles (including Lydia).

Please be respectful of the grounds and its residents. And remember to CITO... this is one spot that could really use our assistance.

Congrats to Scubasonic for being FTF!
