Geocache Description:




Learn about & experience an exciting and fun outdoor family activity. Geocaching is a high tech treasure hunt using a GPS receiver (GPSr), location coordinates and clever hints to find hidden containers (caches) of trinkets to swap.


We will be meeting from 2pm to 4pm. 2:00 -2:45 Intro to How to Geocache 2:45 - 3:00 Explanation of Passport 3:00 Give out code word for event 3:00 - 4:00 Group caching 4:00 Meet back at shelter for wrap up.

An information session will be followed by small group geocaching experience. Raffle prizes, too!

Participants can print a passport from www.yogosc.org and also may pick up a passport from the event to collect clues from a minimum of 12 out of 16 Rock Hill caches through April 27, which entitles them to a Commemorative Come-See-Me Geocoin. Coins are limited to 100 and only 1 coin per geocaching.com account will be issued. More details at the event.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring a GPSr if you have one.
