Just revisiting the site of the original cache GCP7RX by CapnGadget and Guylaine. This cache is in eastern Ontario near Lancaster. The terrain is easy.
We found the original cache well after it was already archived by Groundspeak Reviewers. The coords of GCP7RX were still buried in our gpsr from the previous fall... We also found the remaining of the original container and took a picture of it and it's content. This can be found on the original cache page as well as some other nicer pictures of the site!
We really believe this nice spot still deserved a geocache, so we just put a new one! The new container is now a micro, that should have a chance to survive a little longer. It contains only a logbook and a pencil.
Here we are reprinting the warnings from the previous cache page for your info:
DURING SPRING RUNOFF...LIKE ANY OTHER RIVER AT THIS TIME, THE WATER IS HIGH AND DEEP AND FAST...EXERCISE CAUTION IN ACCESSING THE CACHE. Please be careful not to stray onto private property with this cache. Also keep an eye on any kids with you as water is a factor and we don't want anyone falling in. As it is in farmland make sure you park off the road to allow farmers to go by with equipment. As it is near a place where folks are inclined to jump into that water on a hot day try to be discreet when finding and replacing the cache.
ENJOY FINDING THIS CACHE FOR THE FIRST TIME, OR REVISITING THIS SPOT AGAIN TO LOG THE NEW CACHE!!!
