timebandits: 13 years 9 months. Unfortunately, the metal bracket holding it to the stick was breaking from rust, and the contents inside were damp (easy enough to imagine with where it was hidden). I thought about re-doing it, but figured it has had its time and most finders who wanted to find it have. Thanks for all the finds and stories.
