Camp Potomac Cache Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

mfmanner: welp. after thinking about it for a while, I've decided to archive this one. Although it was fun, either some people couldn't handle the challenge, or the neighbors wondered what was going on and kept messing with things. I'll save the the puzzle from stage 1 for somewhere else. A new cache will pop up soon here and should be some fun. Thanks to all the finders. Hope you enjoyed it.

Geocache Description:

Camp Potomac is a Nationally Accredited Boy Scout Camp, owned and Operated by the Potomac Council, BSA

NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT OPEN STAGE 1

Camp Potomac is a 114 acre boy Scout Camp located in Oldtown, MD. Land for the camp was purchased in the mid-forties and volunteers worked to clear roads, campsites, and the 2 1/2 acre lake for the next few years. Willis V. Smith Dining Hall was dedicated in 1951 and that date has been used as the official opening of the camp however scout groups had been camping on the property for several years. The last few summers have seen between 350 and 450 Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts attend summer camp at Camp Potomac. The property is the home of Ahtuhquog Lodge 540, Potomac Council's Order of the Arrow Lodge. Being the closest Scout Camp to the C & O Canal Towpath, Camp Potomac is a popular camping spot for groups biking the canal and has several cabins and campsites available for camping during the non-summer camp season for scouts and other organized groups. More information about camping at Camp Potomac can be found on www.bsa757.org.

This cache is a multi-cache that involves a bit of a puzzle. Listed Coordinates are for the first part which should be found rather easily. The challenge for you is to get the coordinates for the second part 1) without opening the first part and 2) without moving it from where it is. You may need to bring things with you from home to do this.

The second part is a small lock & lock containing a log and is starting out with a Travel Bug that has the goal of visiting as many other Boy Scout Camps across the US and around the world as possible. If found, please hide this part very well so inquisitive little scouting muggles don't abscond with it or its contents. I have to thank KG8GN for giving me the container for the second part during a conversation that got me into doing this.

Cache is placed with permission from the Council Scout Executive and of course the Camp Director who hid it and lives within sight of stage 2.
