On July 4, 2004, the area just west of this cache was the location of Frederick, Oklahoma's first and probably only rocket launch. With much fanfare before local folks and regional dignitaries, Beyond Earth Enterprises launched their 12 foot tall LC-0.5 rocket to an altitude of over 10,000 feet. The "LC" designation refers to the likeihood of it hitting Elsie the cow when it landed. 
It crash landed about a mile to the southeast of here in a field with a bunch of cows as the only witnesses.
