Geocache Description:

This cache is located near a public walking trail that starts at the Port Royal Landing. Container is a medium plastic jar. Free public parking is available at N 32° 22.258' W 80° 41.219'. You will have to walk about 0.25 miles to the cache location.

Do not climb the fence into the Dry Dock Marina area.

Bring a pen and camera. Enjoy the walk and the view! Maybe you'll think of Jimi Hendrix's "All Along The Watchtower" as you walk along the boardwalk.

The Town of Port Royal is located between the Beaufort River and Battery Creek in the beautiful South Carolina Lowcountry. Surrounded by the Historic City of Beaufort and the Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort to the North, the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, to the South, and the Naval Hospital, Beaufort, within our limits, our Town is rich in opportunity. History buffs, nature lovers and even those who enjoy the peace and quiet of a private walking community will enjoy time spent in our Town.

We take pride in our walking trails, community beach, boardwalk and observation tower where you can watch the dolphins play in the water and the many varieties of birds fly over head. Our diverse population offers out-of-town visitors a sense of home. If you are interested in the South, whether to visit the area or to relocate, make sure to put us on your list of places to see.

While visiting the Town, please visit the Lowcountry Estuarium, located on Paris Avenue. It provides a truer understanding of the aquatic life that exists in the Lowcountry.
