Black Bear Traditional Cache
JeepInPA: Tried to do cache maintenance and it is gone. Someone took it or an animal made off with it. I was happy to be able to share this location with everyone.

Begin at the large parking area along Munson Road at Black Bear bridge.
This is a short hike out to the Red Moshannon. Here you will see a portion of the Snow Shoe Rails to Trails ATV path and a restored train trestle over the run. Black Bear ends here as it flows into the Red Mo.
Take some time to check out some of the small waterfalls on Black Bear. There are many signs of wildlife. Bring your fishing pole to try your luck at some native trout. I used to fish this area a lot with my dad when I was younger. This is also a good place to catch crayfish.
Across the road from the parking area is a nice spring.
This is a fun area to explore. I hope you appreciate the beauty of the surroundings as much as I do. Enjoy your trip!
I received permission from the Moshannon State Forest to place this cache.
