Clover Cemetery
The earliest stone recorded was erected in 1824. The Prairie Township trustees care for the cemetery but right now it is in horrible condition. For many years the cemetery was left totally abandoned and neglected. There are many, many broken and unreadable stones in this cemetery. Most of the gravestones have been knocked over to the ground and broken. Several broken gravestones are stacked inside a fenced-in area inside the cemetery. At the main gate is a cross which has been toppled with a plaque that reads:
"In memory of five unknown Veterans buried in these hallowed grounds. Let no man plow it under."

Cache Location
Clover Cemetery is located on the west side of Alton-Darby Creek Road, just under a mile north of Broad Street (US 40) and about a half mile north of Alton Cemetery (GC1JA72). There is no road sign for this cemetery and it barely seen from Alton-Darby Creek Road,. Access is from a dirt road.
Cache Description
The cache is a micro container with log only where you will need to bring your own pen or pencil. This is not located inside the cemetery gates. Please do not go into the cemetery to try to find this cache. Be aware of muggle activity with large apartment buildings nearby.
