Geocache Description:

A cache situated close to the road. From the cache location you can see the Dalchirla Standing Stones close to the farm. There are a number of standing stones in the hills round here, and most can be seen from the road.

The solitary stone is surrounded by a pile of field clearance boulders, which were not part of the original siting - none are earth-fast. The pair in the adjacent field are slightly mis-matched size-wise! The smaller of the two has a couple of cup-marks low down on the side facing the larger stone

Apparently the farmer is happy to let you visit the stones if you go to the farm and ask permission.

The small market town of Crieff, has an unique association to the Freemasons, showing that they had mastery of the ancient esoteric knowledge of ley lines. The ley line system is several thousand years old, following the ley line down King street to the south takes you to Dalchirla standing stone and then, about 20 miles further on, the source, Dumbarton Castle, an ancient seat of the kings and a volcanic plug.

The cache is a small lock n lock style box containing a log book, pencil and a few small swops.*Congratulations to Snaglepuss on being First to Find*
