Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the end of Devil's Ridge in Ceredo, WV. A fairly easy walk along a dead end trail. I'm giving this a terrain rating of 3 due to the FALL HAZARDS along the trail.

NOT SAFE FOR SMALL CHILDREN AND NOT SAFE FOR NIGHT CACHING!!!

The container is a black duct taped Rubbermaid jug with tradeables and a log book.

As told to me by an elderly friend shortly before his death, Devil's Ridge was so named for a man, Devil Massie, who robbed and stole his whole life, and spent a majority of it locked up in jail or prison, Devil fell to his death along this trail after slipping & falling while being chased by police one night. Along the right side of the trail is a valley called Indian Holler, An area where the last indians in the area were encamped before being "relocated" out west. Rumor has it that Indian Holler contains the "lost loot" of Devil Massie and other hidden Indian treasures, which have NEVER been recovered. The valley was closed off to the public when I-64 was built and blocked the only entrance into the valley. The only access to the valley now is by climbing down or FALLING DOWN IN IT! (The latter I don't recomend!) ;-)
