The Buckeye Trail celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year. The trail is 1444 miles long so this is just a short glimpse of the trail. The trail is wooded and there is some over-growth. You will have to walk on rocks over several streams. The area is rich with history and wildlife so take time to enjoy the beauty of your walk. Start your adventure at Sagamore Grove Picnic Area and then take the blue marked Buckeye Trail on right about 1/2 mile from parking area. Be careful the first part of this trail is steep. Please respect the park and stay on the marked blue trail, the cache is only a few feet off trail. Placed with permission from Cleveland Metroparks Permit # 31185
