An easy cache commemorating an old Stanford landmark.
Lake Lagunita used to be filled every year and was used for all kinds of water activities. Near this cache spot was a boathouse, as shown by the pictures.
Now the lake is either dry or swampy, depending on the season, and is only filled rarely as part of flood control operations.
You may be tempted by the wooden birdhouse. Its not the cache, so do not disturb.
The cache is a camo-taped pill bottle, in a harness. Please treat it gently and unscrew the lid without removing the main part of the cache.
This is a high-muggle area, with inquisitive kids playing, so stealth may be required.
