Geocache Description:

This cache is accessible from both the well-known main entrance of Purgatory Chasm State Park on Purgatory Road and the lesser known entrance on the backside of the park, on Mendon Road. The trails are distinct and should bring you very close to the cache. The terrain level is due to some rocky areas through the chasm, although a hike in from Mendon Road would avoid this. Notice there is no after dark parking.

This cache is placed in a very interesting and peaceful spot that I noticed shortly after placing my Purgatory Brook multi-cache, which has since been archived. It seems that it is well known, as there is almost a worn path to the area and small hints of previous visitors, though I've never seen anyone at the location.

The cache is a medium size Lock n Lock container big enough to hold a few trading items and travelers. Shouldn't be too hard to find. Please make sure the cache is well hidden, to avoid the cache from going missing though. I hope you enjoy the spot!
