Two stage puzzle cache in a desert terrain park, with gullies, loose granite and possible creatures all around the cache area.
Over the last eight months I have attended a Trade School called RSI. This cache has been created to attest to the fact that I can read the various charts and information necessary to become a HVACR Technician. During those eight months of school we learned many facts and many procedures on how to "properly" maintain an A/C system. Also during that time we learned about so-called .technicians that use R&R (Remove & Replace) procedures to increase the costs to a customer, even though the parts replaced were working correctly. At RSI we called these type of technicians "Joe Bobs".
At this time I believe that I will be a good technician for my customers and not become a "Joe Bob Tech", but as they say time will tell. In order to test my understanding and constantly work on Pressure / Temperature relationships that are necessary for understanding how a system works, I created the following cache to help myself and try to give you a challenge to finding this cache. I am currently using the Sporlan Pressure / Temperature (P/T) Chart to create the challenge, but you should be able to get a chart off of the Internet without any problem.
The coordinates that are given will get you to a location where there is information that will need to be decoded. The numbers that will be found at Stage 1 will be either a pressure or a temperature. The pressure information will be in PSIA, so you will need to convert that to a PSIG and then take the information to the P/T Chart. The hint will give you info about how to convert from PSIA to PSIG. The Stage 1 information will need to also be converted to the proper number of the proper refrigerant.
The first number of each coordinate (N & W) will be related to a refrigerant that is currently the most utilized in residential systems.
The second number of each coordinate (N & W) will be related to a refrigerant that was widely used on automotive a/c systems prior to R-134A.
The third number of each coordinate (N & W) will be related to a refrigerant that is up and coming on the HVACR future. It is a near - azeotropic blend of R-32 & R-125. It is called a near - azeotropic blend since it does not fractionate much and if it leaks from an A/C system it can be topped off without much worry.
All temperatures that I am giving are in Fahrenheit so you will not need to any conversions from Celsius or Kelvin. After you have done the conversion to the final numbers, you will have the coords for the location of the actual cache.

Here are a couple of web locations that have P/T Charts that might help !
This chart has R-22 & R-410A refrigerant info :

This chart has R-22 & R-12 refrigerant info (This is also the chart that we utilized in RSI) :

If you have trouble with figuring this out, you may send an e-mail asking for a hint.
Please put the cache back exactly as you found it ! Thanks !
