The tank arsenal has lots of history and fond memories for me. Here, where you stand right now is roughly the barracks where the GI’s that were assigned to duty here lived.
There used to be a sound barrier wall that went around the test track. It was put up due to the residents living close by said the tanks were too noisy. Here one evening while another test driver was out putting miles on the tank, he had trouble with his steering and crashed through the sound barrier wall. Luckily he had brakes and was able to stop before he ran anyone over.
The cache container is a 35mm container. You will need to bring a pencil to log your find. No room for trade items.
