Ron's Heaven Traditional Cache

This cache is located in the Town of Angelica in Allegany County. It is hidden in the Bald Mountain State Forest, which has over 700 acres available for hunting, camping etc. It does abut private property, so please don’t encroach on these areas. This cache is dedicated to the memory of Ron Berner who had a hunting camp with his son in the general vicinity. This area was “Ron’s Heaven”, his home away from home. He spent many a weekend hunting the area and frequenting the “Legion Hall” for a beer or two. If you take Buehrings Road off County Road 16, it will lead into Bald Mountain. There is another cache nearby, but you need to travel down the road farther past the “Bald Mountain” cache site. This is a dirt and stone road, which can get sloppy in rainy weather. Once you enter the Howe State Forest Road, it hairpins back to the South. You can pull off to the side of the road once you get close to the coordinates. If you park near the snowmobile trail, it will ease your walk up. Boots are a must in this area. This is a 50 cal. ammo can with many trinkets in it. Enjoy the area, and leave it CLEANER THAN YOU FOUND IT!
