Geocache Description:

Easy cache for travelers just off of U. S. 70. Should be a quick grab, but take time to enjoy one of the most beautiful areas in New Mexico. Don't forget to say hi to the Lady!

Coyote Hunter can't remember who first showed him the "Lady on the Mountain" but he is thankful for the gift. Every time he goes by this location he is looking to make sure that she is still watching over us, ever vigilant. Since she has a great vantage point to watch over Pat Garrett's ranch, Coyote Hunter wonders if the Lady could even be the spirit of Elizabeth Garrett, Pat Garrett's blind daughter who wrote "O, Fair New Mexico", New Mexico's state song.

The Lady is standing on the north side of San Augustin Peak, towards the bottom of the granite face. The cache is a micro, and as always with desert caches be on the lookout for plants that stick, critters that bite, and mean folks.

CONGRATULATIONS TO COYOTERO FOR FTF # ??????, BUT WHO'S COUNTING ANYWAY!!!! GOOD JOB!!!
