Geocache Description:

A family-friendly, small, but packed, camoed, lock-box container, located on the Waterford Heritage Trail. Parking and trailhead are the same as for GC1P76H.

The grandsons agreed that this cache contains small, but “good stuff”, hence the name. FTF prize is a genuine 1969 50 cent coin (sorry.....it’s only made of nickel. I think they stopped minting the silver ones in ‘67). Most kids have probably never seen one.

I was going to hide this one further up the trail, but it soon becomes an open space, with the next good spots closer to the 10th concession road. The aim was to give families a chance to hit this one first, then backtrack 445m to GC1P76H.

One nice feature of this location is the view. If you look to the northeast, you will see a hollow in the field (there is a little hut), which becomes a frozen field pond in winter and a pit stop for migrating Tundra Swans in March. Watch out for summer muggles and perpetual ATV’s.
