The Northern Mockingbird is the state bird of Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas.

Also nicknamed the American Nightingale. It often sings through the night, especially unmated males, or when the moon is full. Individual males have repertoires of 50 to 200 songs.They also have the ability to mimic sounds such as dogs barking or the songs of other birds. They are either applauded for their audaciousness or cursed for their persistence in nocturnal singing or in the defense of their territory. Most commonly found in the southern regions of the United States. However, sightings have been reported as far off the coast as Hawaii (where they were introduced). Question a beginning.
