Geocache Description:

This cache is next to Memorial Site for the 10th Mtn. Division who were stationed at Camp Hale (to the North) and trained in this area and at Ski Cooper (Cooper Hill).
Very easy to get to this Cache year round.

Don't forget to visit other caches attributed to same nearby!

This cache is part of my tribute to our men and Women in the Armed Forces. My Father served in World War II and was honored with the Silver Star.

It is important for us to share their stories, for that they will be remembered. Please feel free to share your stories.

This cache is a Altoids can (camouflaged to the correct color) which is available year round.

There service during WWII was very important and this area is very historical and informational in the developement of the Ski Industry.

This is also located on the Continental Divide. Runoff on the east slope goes into the Arkansas River and ultimately to the Gulf of Mexico. To the west, the Colorado River and the Pacific Ocean.

As added enjoyment for this cache, you can visit the Metro State College Web Site for more information and for clips from the movie about the soldiers and their heroics at (visit link)

Please make sure and watch the Video Clips from WWII !

You may also visit the website (visit link)

Many of the veterans were instrumental in starting and begining the ski industry in the West and in Colorado.
