This is a quick drive-by which is a micro. Please bring your own writing stick. It is located in the village of Derrytrasna.
The cache is set to honor an intelligent young woman who is diabetic. Hence, a diabetic test strip case is being used.
The case is located near to a sculpture of a Lough Neagh
eel fisherman.
A local man, Winston Stevenson, now living in Canada, has often told us stories of eel fishing when he was a boy. He lived on the shore of Lough Neagh close to Derrytrasna village. On warm days they would build a rock dam in the shallow water thus trapping the eels as they were enjoying a relaxing spa. Dinner forks were used to stab the eels which were taken home for a fry-up.
[Note on Cache Maintenance: This cache will be maintained by a local resident and the details are on file with Geocaching.com]
