A series of caches placed around the grounds of rugby clubs.
Caches will all be outside the grounds in the public domain unless otherwise stated and at this time, all bar one give a view of the rugby posts, a requirement for anyone who would like to extend this series.
London Cornish RFC, formed in 1962 by a group of friends having a drink in a pub. (Where has that happened before!)
After a nomadic number of years, London Cornish finally settled at their current home ground, the Richardson Evans Memorial Fields, in 1972. They currently play rugby in London SW3, their highest league placing to date, having gained promotion in 2007. The ground is also used by Premiership club, Harlequins RFC as their training facility.
The cache is a small box containing a few swaps, log book and pencil. It can take small TBs. It is situated on the Capital Ring Footpath. At placing, GPS coverage was suprisingly good considering the number of trees. This may not be so once they come into full bloom. There are many areas off the path available to enable you to regain a stronger signal.
If you would like to extend this series, please feel free. There are only 3 rules which must be followed;
1. Every effort must be made to place the cache with a view of the pitch or posts.
2. Every effort must be made NOT to use a micro.
3. I don't need to know the number - there aren't any!
Remember - the refs’ decision is final and arguing will just get you a yellow card.
