The Lebanon Fire Division opened Station 42 in July of 2005 to improve response times to the southern half of the city. In addition to residential areas, the Station 42 crews protect the local hospital and the majority of Lebanon's industrial land.
The cache should be an easy find for most and should be done during the day only. Parking is in the fire station's lot that faces the Ohio Highway Patrol post. (a small radio tower is next to the lot) Please do not block any driveways or doors! The firefighters as well as the Patrolmen know about the cache so you should have no problems. They do not know where the cache is placed, they just know it is there.
Since we are located so close to the interstate, I will use it as a drop point for TB's I pick up during my own caching adventures. The cache will also start out with the Trailblazing Fire Truck TB with a mission to reach the Vista Firefighters cache in Buena Vista, CA.
Fire dept. patch traders - most of the crews do not trade patches, however, if you visit on a Unit 1 day (rotation started Jan. 1, 2009) stop in and see me!
