Heat it Up !! Traditional Cache
TheBicycler: I'm archiving this cache. This was one of three that I first put out in 2009. The trails in the area are non-existent. I haven't maintained this cache in years. The container is damaged and I don't plan to replace it.

This cache is located on a trail that starts at the University of Houston Clear Lake campus. The trail head is near the southeast corner of the soccer field.
Parking is available at UHCL. See parking coordinates to find the visitor parking area. There's a charge for visitor parking. Look for the pay station in the parking lot. The pay station takes credit cards. It costs $2.50 for 2 hours. Park in the designated parking spaces for visitors. Parking is free on weekends starting at noon on Friday.
From the parking lot go between the soccer field fence and playground and then follow the ATV trail south along edge of the woods to the trailhead. I've added a waypoint for the trail head. Scroll down to my log dated 2/27/2016 to get a link to a video showing how to get to the UHCL parking and the trail head.
The trails use to be used by the JSC Nature Walk group on Tuesdays in the spring and fall. You could bushwhack to the cache but I don’t recommend it. USE THE TRAILS. The trails are marked with orange ribbons. Even on the trails you will have to go over, under, and around trees. The trails can get muddy in places if it has rained a lot. Look for "What's Cookin" and "Keep It Cool" while you’re on the trails.
This cache has room for swapping small items; there are some items already in the cache. Put the cache back where you found it. Enjoy!!
