Geocache Description:

A cache owner decides to set out a cache. You think of a place and the kind of cache you wish to place. You spend a fair amount of time looking for the right place, or looking for the right container to place at a site. I have placed at current time 170+ caches, some of which I have spent over $20.00 on and many hours to set-up. I have spent an estimated $500-$700 on just containers alone, plus many, many hours to place the container and submit the cache page. Then someone finds it and their log is: TFTC. No details of the hunt. No real appreciation for the effort the owner put into providing the cacher with an opportunity for making a find. Just: TFTC. Or, you get eight emails saying that eight of your caches were found today and every log says: Found on a lunch time cache run with ______. Or 45 emails from three different cachers who cached as a group and each found 15 of your caches, and all 45 say: Found on an all day cache run with ______ and _______. I know there’s not much to comment on when you find a lame lamp skirt hide in a parking lot, I’m OK with that, but when a cacher places one that he/she has invested some time and/or money on, please submit a worthy log.

Okay, a mere suggestion for your written log, actually type out a few words describing the experience you had while finding this cache. Please exclude logs such as "found it thanks" or "T4TC" or anything like that. If you do I will ask you to submit a new log. A copy and paste log is certainly welcome as long as you add something personal about the find and/or cache. It doesn't need to be complicated, although I enjoy reading those. It just needs to be something about something. I am not trying to offend anyone, I just wanted to bring to your attention the time and effort we cache owners go through just to place even the simplest hide for you to get a smiley on. We would also like to thank you for taking the time and expense to seek out our caches. If no one sough our caches then we would not be encouraged to place more for you to enjoy. It’s just that for a hider, the fun comes with reading a cacher's log. We like to know what you thought of the cache. Were the coordinates off? Was it too easy? Did you have fun? Could the container use attention? Did anything strange happen while finding this cache? If everyone just put TFTC I wouldn't really enjoy hiding them as much. If you don't like this idea, write in your log that you think this is stupid. That will be okay too.

This cache is located at the published coordinates and is not a typical lame lamp skirt hide, so there will be plenty of comments you could make on this one. It is located in a beautiful park just 150 feet off a very well maintained gravel trail. It will be a fun, different and challenging find. I have never seen one like this before so the experience should be unique. Please don’t give away the uniqueness in your logs so everyone can have the same experience as the first to find cacher. The day I placed this cache there was a lot of heavy cloud cover and accuracy was best at +/-24 feet, so you may need to use the hint to make the find. Please note any coordinates in your logs if mine are off so I can update the cache page coordinates.

NO TNLNSLTFTC’s PLEASE!!!!!!!

Congratulations to RdWing for a well earned FTF.
