Geocache Description:

This should be a quick park and grab. You don't have to leave the sidewalk to put your hand on it. A pen/pencil would not fit in this micro. Please BYOP.

This cache is located in the small town of Louisa, in the heart of Louisa County. It is also the location for the current courthouse which was built in 1905. The first courthouse was built in 1818. Louisa County was established in 1742 from part of Hanover County. The Town of Louisa was incorporated in 1873. It was named for Princess Louisa of Great Britain, the daughter of King George II and Queen Caroline of England, and the wife of King Frederick V of Denmark. It has been proven that Melungeons originated in Louisa County in the early 1700s. For more information about Louisa, please visit Louisa History.

The cache is located near street parking. Please watch where you park and pay for parking if required.

HW2998 - 202 Main Street. It is located near the front door at the top of the steps.
HW3304 - Louisa Water Tank. You should be able to see this one from the cache location.
HW2999 - Under the water tank. It is located on one of the footings for the water tank. It has been painted over several times and might be hard to notice without reading about it or seeing the pictures of it first.
