welcome to 2 of my favorite spots. at the 1st cords. you will see 2 green county address signs write down the numbers then continue to the water you can reach the 2nd part by boat if you wish but no need to. this area i have been told by corps employees is the widest spot of the mississippi at just under 5 miles if you do a search it comes up that onolaska is i don't know but i do know that if you are out there when the weather turns it is a long way to either bank. now back to work top sign will be ABCD 2nd will be EFGH 2nd cords. are 41. (A-2) (F+3) (C-5) . part 2 is a ammo box full of kiddie wonders and a indian head nickel for FTF. it is also a nice place to launch a canoe the paddle from the bridge to the river is real nice and can be a birders paradise. watch for muggles if the fish are biting.
