This cache is located in one of the best kept secrets in Lodi. It is the third of several caches being placed along the river for your paddling enjoyment. It is located in the calm backwater of Woodbridge Dam along the Mokelumne River. The river offers tranquil paddling and ample wildlife, taking you back to the days of Tom Sawyer. Keep an eye out for gators. I've been told they lay in wait in the tules for unwary kayakers. There have been rumors about them for years. If you see lots of turtles out of the water on the logs, they may be hiding from the gator or just getting a little sun. Do you want to take that chance? Access through Lodi Lake Park is suggested. An access fee of $3.00 is sometimes charged during summer months and on weekends. No fee for launching canoes or kayaks. I would suggest putting in at the kayak launch area located at N38 08.918 W121 17.537
