Reserve.
LEKEBERGA-SÄLVEN
Naturreservatet Lekeberga -
Sälven är till största delen ett öppet
ravinlandskap vid Garphytteåns och Lekhytteåns
sammanflöde och
utlopp i Svartån. Slättbygderna nedanför
Kilsbergsbranten är
uppbyggda av finkorniga sedimentjordar, bildade i en vik av det
hav
som täckte Närkesslätten fram till för 6000
år sedan. De båda åarna
Garphytteån och Lekhytteån har skurit sig ned i dessa
lösa
jordarter och bildat djupa raviner och slingor. Inbäddad
i
sedimenten finns en rullstensås som genomskurits av
Lekhytteån.
Vattnets eroderande krafter påverkar hela tiden
stränderna och man
kan se flera exempel på detta i reservatet, bland annat
omkullfallna träd och nedrasade kanter efter skred. Ett
annat
exempel är de sa kallade korvsjöarna som bildas när
ån skär rakt
fram och en åslinga snörs av.
LEKEBERGA-SÄLVEN
The nature reserve Lekeberga -
Sälven
is mostly an open ravine landscape at Garphytteåns and
Lekhytteåns
combined outflow in Svartån. The district Kilsbergsbranten
consists
of fine-grained sediment, formed in a bay of the sea which
covered
Närkesslätten until 6000 years ago. The two creeks
Garphytteån and
Lekhytteån have cut them self in the earth and formed deep
ravines
and loops. Embedded in the sediments is a kame which cut off
Lekhytteån.
Erosive water forces always affects the beaches and you can
see
several examples of this in reserve, including fallen trees
and
overturned edges. Another example is the so called sausage
lakes
formed when the creek cut a straight line and the flow takes
another way.
BÄVER OCH FÅGLAR
Bävern har funnits inom Lekeberga - Sälven sedan
1930-talet.
Överallt i reservatet finns spår efter bävrarna;
stigar och fällda
träd. Bland de fågelarter som är
karaktäristiska för åpartierna kan
nämnas gräsand, knipa, kungsfiskare och vintertid
även
strömstare.
BEAVER AND BIRDS
Beaver have been in the Lekeberga
-
Sälven since the 1930s. Everywhere in the reserve there are
visible
interferences of beaver. Commonly are paths and windfalls.
Among
the birds, which are characteristic of creek parts is
Mallard,
Goldeneye, Kingfisher and also Dipper.
