The coordinates will lead you to the lawn of the Paoli town square in Orange County. The cache is NOT hidden there. It is located about a block away. You are looking for a small plastic box located in a niche. No stones need be disturbed. Please practice stealth while searching and logging.
The centerpiece of the Paoli town square is the County Courthouse. A classic Greek revival design, it was completed in 1850 at a cost of $13,561.85 and is the second oldest continuously used courthouse in Indiana (the oldest being in Rising Sun, Indiana). It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has recently undergone a $2.5 million renovation.
The pair of columbiads located on the lawn are 8" Rodmans (columbiads are large caliber, smoothbore, muzzle loading cannons able to fire heavy projectiles at both high and low trajectories). These were cast at the Fort Pitt Foundry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania between 1861 and 1863. "Rodmans" are named for Thomas Jackson Rodman, born in Salem, Indiana and inventor of the "wet chill" casting process which produced these high quality guns. Rodman guns were primarily siege guns and were normally mounted at coastal fortifications.
The cache is hidden at N38 33.XXX, W86 28.0YY, where “XXX” is the difference in weight of columbiad No. 11 minus 8032, and “YY” the difference in weight of columbiad No. 86 minus 8535. )
